Paradise Valley Home

Arizona

When new clients asked us to walk through a contemporary new-build before purchasing, we saw the potential—but also the challenges. The house was grand, with spectacular views, but it felt stark and impersonal with its black windows, tiles, and hardware. We assured them that with the right changes, it could become the elegant, sophisticated home they envisioned. The transformation started with a visit to our showroom, where the wife fell in love with Parisian ceramics and classic furniture—a defining moment that shaped the design. We replaced every light fixture, softened architectural details, and introduced warm, wall colors. The living room, originally vast and cold, became a layered, intimate space with defined zones, custom bookshelves, and rich textures—what I describe as “like being wrapped in a vicuña coat.” By the end, the homeowner said exactly what every designer hopes to hear: “I finally love it now.”
