Zara is our Director of Interior Design and Executive of Operations for Jan Showers & Associates.  She began her design career here in the Spring of 2006, then as an Assistant Designer.

Zara attended the University of North Texas, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design.  Before joining Jan Showers & Associates, Zara completed an internship with Seifert Murphy in Dallas, where she gained a deeper knowledge of Architecture and Commercial Interior Design.

Since joining Jan Showers & Associates, she has worked on a large scope of interior design projects, including residences in Dallas, Austin, Tulsa, Palm Beach, Telluride, Crested Butte, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Toronto, Nantucket, New Jersey, New York, D.C., Hawaii, Lake Forest, and London.

She has been part of the Jan Showers & Associates team that has been named to the Architectural Digest Top 100 Designers & Architects, also known as AD100.  In 2020, she was featured on Pholio Co.’s ‘Diversity in Design in Dallas’ and Brentano’s ‘Framing the Future’.  Dwell with Dignity recently featured her in an episode called “Dwelling Well”.
